Devil Dog 5K & 10K Run/Walk
The Devil Dog 5K & 10K Run/Walk is an annual event held at the Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, Florida. Organized by the Evolution Fitness Foundation, this event serves to benefit the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund. The event grounds are accessed through the Glades Road entrance, with participants meeting at the Sunset Pavilion.
Participants can choose from a variety of event distances and categories:
- 10K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids Race (for participants 12 years old and under)
- 1 Mile Fun Walk (non-timed)
Specific incentives are available for top-performing participants and early registrants. The first-place overall male and female winners receive a pair of shoes. Plaques and gear are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. Event t-shirts and finisher medals are limited to the first 1,000 registered participants and finishers.
The event features a ceremony including a bagpiper, a mascot, and a color guard to lead runners to the start line, followed by the national anthem. For those who prefer not to participate in the physical races, donation-based registration options are also available to support the cause.
