Deveron Harrier's festival of running
The Deveron Harriers Festival of Running takes place on 09 Aug 2026 and offers multiple distances on a mixed terrain route that follows the River Deveron from Turriff to Banff. The festival features road and woodland sections, including a riverside road along National Cycle Route 1, a woodland trail with the Bridge of Alvah, and running through the historic Duff House grounds to finish at Duff House Rugby Club playing pitches.

- Half Marathon follows River Deveron from Turriff to Banff
- 10k joins the same route at Castle Eden
- 5k trail through Duff House grounds
- Junior 1k fun run within rugby pitches and woods
Facilities and services include registration at Duff House Rugby Club Pavilion, bus transport from registration to the start, toilet facilities and car parking. The course is marked with mile markers and marshals, and there are regular water stations including stops at miles 3, 7, 9 and 11 plus an extra Warthogs water station. All race finishers receive a medal. The event holds an SAL permit.
Entry details list minimum ages for each race: half marathon 17 plus, 10k 15 plus, 5k 11 plus. Prize awards are offered for top three finishers in each race and category prizes for 40 plus, 50 plus and 60 plus for men and women. Course record times are listed for each distance.
