Detroit Mother's Day Run-Walk
The Detroit Mother's Day Run-Walk takes place in Detroit, Michigan, at Inselruhe Avenue. This athletic event offers a variety of distances suitable for different preferences, including options for walkers and runners. The race features specific categories for mother-daughter pairings, three generations of women, and family teams. While the event celebrates women, men are also welcome to participate in the races, though awards are reserved for female participants.

The 1 mile run-walk is designed as a non-competitive and untimed event. Children aged 10 and under can participate for free in the 5 km, 1 mile, or 200 m Kids' Dash if accompanied by a paid adult. The Kids' Dash starts at the main start line just before the adult races begin, and all children receive a finisher's medal.
A post-race party is organized for all participants. The event staff provides breakfast food, including pancakes and breakfast burritos. For those unable to attend in person, virtual options are available for the 5 km and 10 km distances, where shirts and medals are mailed to participants.
