Detroit Mother's Day Run/Walk
The Detroit Mother's Day Run/Walk is a multi-distance event held at 2 Inselruhe Avenue, Detroit, MI 48207. The program includes in-person races and virtual options, as well as divisions for handcycles and walkers.
Distances offered include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- 200 m Kids' Dash
Event types and features: in-person 10K, 5K and 1 Mile races; a handcycle division; a 200 m kids run; and virtual 10K and 5K options. The 1 Mile Fun Run is untimed and non competitive. Virtual participants receive a race shirt and medal mailed the weekend of the event.
Family and team categories are part of the event, including Mother-Daughter, Three Generations of Women, and Family teams. For team awards, participants must all compete in the same division to be eligible. Awards are designated for female participants; male participants may take part in support roles.
Children 10 and under race free with a paid adult; adults should be prepared to provide the adult confirmation number at checkout. The 200 m kids run takes place immediately before the first adult event and awards finisher medals and post-race festivities. All events are described as walker friendly.
