Detective Mike Doty Memorial Run
The Detective Mike Doty Memorial Run is an annual athletic event held in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The event commemorates a dedicated public servant who worked as an investigator and program coordinator within York County. Participation in these races provides financial support for Keystone Substance Abuse Services, a non-profit organization that provides education, prevention, and treatment services for individuals and families in the region.
Participants can choose from several distance options held at Eden Terrace:
- 10K running race.
- 5K running race.
- Fun Run measuring between 0.5-1.0 miles, specifically intended for children under age 12.
The Fun Run is a non-timed event. For those unable to attend the physical location, virtual options are available for both the 5K and 10K distances, along with a support category for those who wish to contribute without running.
Packet pickup for all registered participants takes place the day before the event at the local prevention center on Ebenezer Road. The physical course is situated in an area served by York County's substance abuse authority, which has been operational since 1969. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
