Desert Runner Trail Series - Fall Pass
Desert Runner Trail Series - Fall Pass is a sequence of trail races organized by Aravaipa Running in and around Cave Creek, Arizona on October 17, 2026. The event offers a range of distances across multiple race categories and forms part of a larger seasonal series that continues into November and December.
Distances available at the Cave Creek date include:
- Ultra: 50K
- Long: 24K to 25K
- Middle: 10K to 10 mile
- Short: 5K to 5 mile
The Fall Pass covers three scheduled race weekends: Cave Creek Thriller on October 17, Pass Mountain on November 14, and McDowell Mountain Frenzy on December 5. Series passes are offered in short, middle, trail, and ultra tiers, with a stated discount for joining the Fall Series rather than entering individual races.
Events within the Desert Runner Trail Series are designated cupless to reduce race footprint; UltrAspire reusable cups will be available at registration and on race day, and participants may bring their own cups. The Sonoran Desert Cup is a points competition spanning multiple sub-ultra races in the series, with a weighted Grand Final at Dam Good Run and overall titles awarded as Cactus King and Queen.
