Desert Leprechaun 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk - Tucson, March 14, 2027
The Desert Leprechaun is a St. Patrick's Day themed running and walking event held at Curtis Park in Tucson on March 14, 2027. The event includes two distances and is part of The Running Shop SAR Grand Prix. It benefits the Public Safety Charitable Foundation, Children of Fallen Officers, which provides scholarships to local children of fallen law enforcement, fire, EMS, and military personnel.

Race amenities and awards: 5K finishers receive a finisher medal while supplies last. Registrants for the 5K and 1 Mile receive a race shirt while supplies last; registering prior to February 1, 2027 guarantees a race shirt. The event includes a St. Patrick's Day costume contest with prizes, age-group prizes for the 5K in five-year age divisions from 15 through 80 and additional categories for 1–14 and 80+, and awards for top overall and masters finishers. Awards may include The Running Shop gift certificates and St. Patrick's Day themed gifts.
Packet pickup is scheduled Saturday, March 13, 2027 at The Running Shop from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with additional pickup at the event site on March 14 time TBD. Safety guidance notes that participants accept inherent risks and take part under their own responsibility.
