Desert Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk & Family Mile

The Desert Leprechaun event is scheduled for March 14, 2027, at Armory Park in Downtown Tucson. The program offers two distances:

5K Run/Walk
1 Mile Run/Walk

The 5K is part of The Running Shop SAR Grand Prix series. Organizers are coordinating with the St. Patrick's Day Festival and Committee and plan to return to Armory Park for the 2027 edition.

Awards for the 5K are offered in male and female categories and include Top 3 overall, Top masters, and Top 3 in five-year age groups up to 80 plus. Award items include Running Shop gift certificates and St. Patrick's Day themed items. A costume contest will feature a prize for a selected entry.

All registrants in both distances receive a t-shirt while supplies last. All 5K finishers receive a finisher medal while supplies last. The event notes St. Patrick's Day related goodies for participants. Southern Arizona Roadrunners members receive a discount that covers RunSignup fees at SAR-owned races.
