Event overview
The Derwent Reservoir Triathlons take place on Sunday 12 July 2026 at Derwent Reservoir (Dam South), Edmundbyers, Consett, DH8 9TT. The swim is in reservoir waters. The cycle uses quiet country lanes. The run follows mostly flat paths and trails. There are relay options and no cut-off times. Live chip-timing will be used. Wetsuits are expected to be optional; wearing one is recommended for comfort and buoyancy. The transition area is secure and for competitors only; race and bike numbers must match racking numbers, helmets must be worn before entering, and bike and bib numbers are checked after the race. Finishers receive a Derwent Triathlon medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. A commemorative T-shirt is available for £12.
