Event overview
The Derwent Reservoir Triathlons take place on Sunday 12 July 2026 at Derwent Reservoir (Dam South), Edmundbyers, Consett, DH8 9TT. The venue is on the Durham/Northumberland border and is owned by Northumbrian Water. The swim takes place in the reservoir waters, the cycle uses quiet country lanes, and the run follows mainly flat paths and trails. Relay entries are available and there are no cut-off times. Water temperatures are expected to make wetsuits optional; wetsuits are recommended for comfort and buoyancy. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. The transition area is secure and for competitors only; race and bike numbers must match racking numbers, helmets must be worn before entering, small bags or boxes are allowed, and bike and bib numbers will be checked before exiting.
