Derwent Reservoir Triathlons
Derwent Reservoir Triathlons take place at Derwent Reservoir (Dam South), Edmundbyers, Consett, near the Durham/Northumberland border. The event offers Sprint and Standard triathlons, plus aquabike options. Distances: Sprint—750m swim, 22km cycle, 5km run; Standard—1,500m swim, 39km cycle, 10km run.
The course features clear, calm reservoir water, quiet scenic lanes for cycling, and flatish run paths. There are relay options and no cut-off times. Finishers receive a Derwent Triathlon Medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink, with live timing provided by Timing Up North.
