Derrybawn Trail
The Derrybawn Trail is a running event in Wicklow, scheduled for Sunday, 16 August 2026. The specific route is to be determined.
The event has a listed distance of 10 km with a total climb of 500 meters. The event difficulty is categorized as 3. The race will be partially marked, with only major junctions indicated. The use of GPS devices is not permitted. It is part of the IMRA Trail League Leinster.
Mandatory kit (Level B) must be brought to the race. The required items are a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. The specific kit to be carried during the race will be confirmed on event day based on conditions. Runners must be able to carry all kit. Random checks may be performed, and lacking required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification.
General entry opens on Monday, 10 August 2026, at 21:00 and closes on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at 18:00. The entry cost is €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. There is an entry limit of 250 participants.
