Deputy Peter John Herrera #4928 Memorial 5K Run / Walk
This event is the sixth annual 4928 Peter John Herrera Memorial 5K Run / Walk, held on Sunday March 8, 2026 at Ascarate Park Pavilion, 6900 Delta, El Paso TX 79905. The programme includes two event categories and awards for multiple divisions.

Registration includes a race shirt, brunch from Classico Kitchen & Bar, and a race medal. The first 1000 registrants will receive a shirt and race medal; registrants after February 9 are not guaranteed preferred shirt size. Registration fees are stated by date: early registration through March 5, 2026 is $45, late registration March 6 through March 7 is $50, and race day registration on March 8 is $60.
Packet pick-up is scheduled March 2 through March 7 at the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, 3850 Justice Drive, El Paso TX 79938. Weekday hours for packet pick-up are 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday hours are 9 am to 12 pm. Race day packet pick-up will be available at Ascarate Park from 6 am to 7 am.
Awards are presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall male and female, for male and female age categories from 10 and under through 70 and over, and for first responder categories including a four person team ranking by average time.
