Denver Veterans Day Run - November 14, 2026
The 17th annual Denver Veterans Day Run is a memorial running event held at Denver City Park in downtown Denver. The event includes multiple distances and a ruck challenge; the 10K ruck requires a 25 lb loaded pack or weighted vest. The route follows the City Park running trails.
Event formats include:
- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 miles
- 10K Run/Walk - 6.2 miles
- 10K Ruck Challenge - 6.2 miles with 25 lb load
The event is open to runners, joggers, walkers, children of all ages, and dogs are welcome. Participants who register by October 25, 2026 receive a commemorative race T-shirt and race medal as part of registration.
The run serves as a memorial and as a fundraiser for Colorado Veterans Project. All donations go directly to helping Colorado veterans. Colorado Veterans Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds to support veterans and transitioning service members by promoting career development, employment pathways, entrepreneurship, and partnerships with training organizations and civilian employers in Colorado.
