Denver Veterans Day Run, Parade and Festival
The Denver Veterans Day Run, Parade and Festival is the 17th annual commemoration hosted by Colorado Veterans Project on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Denver City Park. The event is organized to celebrate and honor service members and to support the Colorado Veterans Project mission of helping veterans and transitioning active duty pursue careers, meaningful employment, and entrepreneurship.
The event program includes organized running and rucking options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run/Walk
- 10K Rippetoe Ruck honoring a fallen Army captain
A city parade follows the running events along a route that circles through Denver City Park. Parade participants typically include Military ROTC units, retired military, VFW posts, local high schools, classic and vintage car clubs, National Guard contingents, veteran organizations, and commercial and public groups.
The accompanying festival features vendor booths offering resource information, products, and activities for adults and children, plus food vendors offering local flavors. The festival program also includes finisher awards for run and ruck participants, live music, and a beer garden as part of the event offerings.
The event is produced in collaboration with veteran and military focused organizations and with the support of the City of Denver. The festival, parade, and runs aim to recognize veterans’ service while creating a community event that connects veterans with resources and opportunities.
