Delta Lake Triathlon
The Delta Lake Triathlon takes place on July 18, 2026, at Delta Lake State Park in Rome, NY. The park is described as a 720-acre state park. The event is produced by Wilson Endurance Sports in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation - Central Region.
Races and course
The event program includes Sprint and Olympic triathlon events, Sprint and Olympic AquaBike, the Delta Double (and Delta Double - AquaBike), and relay team entries for Sprint and Olympic distances. The standard course for the Sprint begins with a 750 m swim, followed by an 11 mile bike and a 5K run, with the Olympic participants completing two loops of each course. AquaBike participants finish their event after the bike. Paratriathletes are welcome. Relay teams of two or three are allowed for the Sprint and Olympic triathlon events. There are no cut-off times for any events.
Registration and waiting list
For 2026 the event is marked as full; the organizer reports it sold out in 11 days. A waiting list is available and participants may join for multiple distances. When a spot opens due to deferrals, the next person on the waiting list receives an invitation to register that expires after three days. Posted entry fees include $169.54 for Sprint/Olympic/AquaBike entries, $211.94 for the Delta Double options, and $116.54 for relay team entries.
