Delta Lake Triathlon
The event is held at Delta Lake State Park in Rome, NY, on the park's 720-acre grounds. It is produced by Wilson Endurance Sports in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Central Region.
Multiple race options are offered on the same day:
- Sprint Triathlon : 14 Miles
- Sprint AquaBike : 11 Miles
- Olympic Triathlon : 28 Miles
- Olympic AquaBike : 22 Miles
- Delta Double : 42 Miles
- Delta Double AquaBike : 33 Miles
- Relay Team Sprint Tri : 14 Miles
- Relay Team Olympic Tri : 28 Miles
A standard sprint format begins with a 750 m swim, followed by a moderate hilly 11 mile bike course outside the park, then a 5K run inside the park with a finish beside the lake. Olympic competitors complete two loops of each course. AquaBike entrants finish after the bike segment.
Paratriathletes are welcome. Relay teams of two or three are permitted for the Sprint and Olympic triathlon events only. There are no cut-off times for any events. The organizer provides FAQs about dogs at the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
