The Utica Ugly Sweater 5K takes place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, in New York Mills, NY (9 Clinton St). The event includes these race options:

5K run - Team Santa and Team Grinch
5K walk - Yeti 5K Walk
5K virtual - Team Santa and Team Grinch

The road course starts and finishes at Pizza Boy's in New York Mills. The event is limited to 300 participants.

Race amenities, awards, and logistics

Runners in the on-site 5K receive a custom long sleeve shirt and a custom finisher medal. Walkers in the Yeti 5K Walk receive a custom winter beanie and a finisher medal. There will be awards for overall and age group winners and prizes for the ugly sweater contest in categories: Best Ugly Sweater, Most Creative, and Most Funny. A post-race party is scheduled at Pizza Boys with free food for runners and beer specials. The event benefits the NY Mills High School PTSO. Packet pickup is available Thursday, December 3 at The Snack Rack, 1402 Champlin Ave., Utica, NY, and on race day at Pizza Boys, 9 Clinton St, New York Mills.
