Delaware Tech Run, White & Blue 5K
The 13th annual Run, White & Blue event is held at Delaware Tech Community College Owens Campus in Georgetown and benefits scholarships for veterans and first responders.
Event distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Walk
The program adds a new ruck division for 2026. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled at FINS Oyster Bar & Grill in Georgetown on September 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. Timing is managed by the Seashore Strider Event Production team using the Chronotrack B Chip system.
Registration fee structure listed by the organizer includes an early bird rate of $25 until July 17, a $30 rate through September 2, $15 rates for veterans, first responders, active military, and students through September 3, and a $35 race day fee. A silent participant option is offered and donations are accepted to support the event charity.
The course runs through the Delaware Tech campus and is described as flat. Race amenities include custom t-shirts, awards, post-race refreshments, and a post-race gathering at Delaware Tech. Awards are presented to overall and masters winners and to the top three finishers in multiple age groups; awards are given within 20 minutes after the final finisher.
Safety rules require participants to follow the marked course, prohibit bicycles pacing runners, discourage headphones in both ears, and note that failure to follow instructions may result in disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
