Delaware Distance Classic 15K
The Delaware Distance Classic is an annual road race organized by the Pike Creek Valley Running Club on the Wilmington Riverfront. The event for 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, and includes both a 15K and a 5K distance. The start and finish are at Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park at Riverfront Wilmington.

The 15K serves as the 2026 Mid-Atlantic USATF 15K Championship and a Grand Prix event. The 15K offers a total of $1,100 in prize money with listed open and master prizes, plus 10-year age group awards for first through third places. The 5K has 10-year age group awards for first and second places and follows an out-and-back course that shares the same start and finish line as the 15K. The 5K route passes through the DuPont Environmental Education Center.
Field sizes are limited: the 15K has a participant cap of 250 and the 5K a cap of 100. Race entries include a unisex short sleeve shirt; the 15K shirt is reserved for the first 200 registered. Post-race refreshments are provided. The 15K course is USATF certified with the certification number listed as TBD. Registration fees increase in phases, with higher fees closer to race day.
