Delaware Distance Classic 15K
The Delaware Distance Classic is an annual road race organized by the Pike Creek Valley Running Club that includes two distances: 15K and 5K. The event is presented by Delaware Running Company and serves as the 2026 Mid-Atlantic USATF 15K Championship and Grand Prix Event. The start and finish are at Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park on the Wilmington Riverfront. The 5K is an out and back course that shares the same start and finish line as the 15K.
The 15K event has a participant cap of 250 and the 5K has a participant cap of 100. The 15K features a total of $1100 in prize money with male and female open prizes of $200, $150, and $100 and master prizes of $100; no double dipping applies so a master who finishes first or second overall receives the open prize. Both distances award 10 year age group prizes; the 15K lists awards for first through third, and the 5K lists awards for first and second. All entrants receive a Delaware Distance Classic unisex short sleeve shirt with colors to be determined, and post race refreshments are provided.
