NorCal DEKA FIT
The NorCal DEKA FIT Weekend is a hybrid fitness competition held at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in downtown Sacramento. This indoor facility hosts a variety of functional fitness events over two days. The competition focuses on a standardized format featuring 10 dynamic fitness zones paired with running segments.
The event schedule is divided into several categories and heat types. The first day features individual Age Group waves, the Ruck category, and Elite heats. It also includes 2-Person Teams. The second day includes 4-Person Teams and the event's endurance format, the DEKA FIT Ultra. A second opportunity for participants to record an Age Group mark is available at the end of the weekend.
Registered participants are also invited to take part in the Athlete Judge Program. This involves a 60-minute volunteer shift at the venue, either before or after their own race, to assist in judging other competitors.
Available competition formats include:
- DEKA FIT: A 5 km course consisting of 10 fitness stations.
- DEKA FIT Ultra: The weekend's longest endurance test.
- Ruck: A specialized weight-bearing category conducted during the individual waves.
- Teams: Collaborative heats for groups of two or four individuals.
The venue is a modern convention center located at 1401 K Street, providing an indoor environment for all fitness zones and transitions.
