Event
The Deer Creek Half Marathon takes place on July 11, 2026 in Midway, Utah. The race is a 13.1 miles trail half marathon that starts and finishes at the Soldier Hollow Campground Group Pavilion. The half marathon field is capped at 225 runners. Early registration is $60 and standard registration is $70. Late registration begins June 11 and closes July 10; general registration closes July 10 at 11:59 PM MT.
Course and services
The course runs mostly along Deer Creek Reservoir and uses well packed dirt trail (about 95% dirt trail, 5% dirt single track). Total elevation gain is +970 ft. Aid stations are roughly 4.3 miles apart and provide Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and other snack items. The route is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. There is no cutoff time. Free parking is available near the pavilion.
Logistics, awards and extras
Packet pickup is available Friday 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Salt Lake Running Company; race day pickup begins early race morning. Runners receive a race shirt and a locally made finisher medal. Post-race breakfast is provided by Great Harvest Bread. Overall awards include custom topographic plaques for male and female 1st–3rd; age-division medals are awarded for specified age groups. Course photos are provided by a third-party service with bib recognition and no watermark. Volunteers receive credit toward a future Happy Trails race and access to finish-line food.
