Deer Creek Half Marathon

The Deer Creek Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile trail race that starts and finishes at the Soldier Hollow Campground in Midway, Utah. The majority of the course runs along Deer Creek Reservoir and offers lake and mountain views.

The course is mostly well packed dirt trail with some single track. Surface breakdown is approximately 95% dirt trail and 5% dirt single track. Total elevation gain for the half marathon is about +970 feet. The route includes rolling hills and is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals for easy navigation.

Aid stations are spaced roughly 4.3 miles apart and carry Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and assorted snacks. There is no cutoff time for the race. Free parking is provided around the pavilion.

Registered runners receive a race shirt, a locally made finisher medal, free race photos, live results, and a post race breakfast provided by Great Harvest Bread featuring seasonal breads and beverages. Awards include overall top finishers and age division medals. Race photos are taken on course and at the finish and are provided without a logo or watermark.

Packet pickup is offered at the Salt Lake Running Company the day before the race and on race day. Late registration runs from June 11 through July 10. The half marathon field is capped to limit trail and parking impact. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
