Deer Creek Half Marathon - Midway, UT
The Deer Creek Half Marathon is a trail race that starts and finishes at the Deer Creek Dam Trailhead and runs entirely along Deer Creek Reservoir. The course is 13.1 miles with approximately +970 ft total elevation gain and is 100% dirt trail.
The route puts runners directly onto the trail and is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. After the first quarter mile the course is described as easy to follow. Typical course segments are: Start to Aid 1 about 4.3 miles (+297/-358 ft), Aid 1 to Aid 2 about 4.5 miles (+329/-329 ft), and Aid 2 to Finish about 4.3 miles (+358/-297 ft).
Aid stations are spaced roughly 4.3 miles apart and include water, Gatorade, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and other snack items. The event offers live results, free race photos with downloadable files, well stocked aid stations, and a post race breakfast featuring Great Harvest Bread items, chocolate milk, orange juice, and bananas. Parking is free.
Entries are capped for the half marathon at 150 runners. Registration rounds and fees are listed, with late registration opening June 11 and closing July 10 at 11:59 PM MT.
