Deception Pass 50K & 25K (Fall 2026)
The races take place in Deception Pass State Park near Oak Harbor, WA, using trails that run from near sea level up onto bluffs and hills and that cross the historic Deception Pass Bridge twice. The bridge sits about 180 feet above the water. The route covers much of the park coastline, cliffs, dense forest, and single-track trails.

Both the 50K and 25K start at West Point Amphitheater and follow Cranberry Lake for about one mile on paved park roads before moving to single-track trail. Trails are often narrow, twisty, rocky or rooty, with relatively short but at times steep hills. The 50K follows the 25K line initially, revisits the high point at Goose Rock, then includes two lollipop-shaped loops in the Hoypus area before returning to the finish. The kids 1K is a loop through parts of Cranberry Lake Campground and North Beach.
Aid stations are stocked with water, electrolyte drink, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fresh fruit, chips, pickles, cookies or candy, some gels, first aid supplies, and feminine hygiene products. The 50K has four aid stations; the 25K has one. Drop bags are permitted at specified aid stations and at the finish. Park parking requires a Discover Pass and there is no overnight parking at the West Beach/start area; Quarry Campground offers camping in the park.
