Decatur DeKalb 5K - 2026
The Decatur DeKalb 5K is the fourth event in the 2026 Grand Prix Series. The course runs through City of Decatur neighborhoods and the organizer describes the route as challenging. The event takes place on July 18, 2026, at Decatur High School, 310 N McDonough St, Decatur, GA 30030.
Entry for this event is free for Atlanta Track Club members only. Registration opens on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Atlanta Track Club events are held rain or shine; severe weather such as lightning may result in delay or cancellation and the club follows published policies for weather, refunds and cancellations.
There is no on-site parking at Decatur High School. Participants are encouraged to use MARTA, accessing the venue from the Decatur or East Lake stations, or to use public paid parking such as the Courthouse Deck, Artisan Deck, and Decatur Court Garage. Carpooling and early arrival are recommended. Participants should follow posted parking rules and make appropriate payments.
The course time limit is 1 hour and 15 minutes (approximately 25 minutes per mile). For safety, no pets or wheeled conveyances including strollers, roller or inline skates, and bicycles are permitted on course. Headphones are strongly discouraged.
Unofficial results appear immediately online via the race app and event webpage; results are made official about two weeks after the event. Timing is performed with a MYLAPS ThinTag affixed to the back of the race number; race numbers must be visible, unaltered, pinned in all four corners, and not covered.
