Decatur DeKalb 5K (2026)
The Decatur DeKalb 5K takes place on July 18, 2026 as the fourth event in the Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Series. The race is based at Decatur High School, 310 N McDonough St, Decatur, Ga 30030, and runs through City of Decatur neighborhoods. The organizer describes the course as one of the club's most challenging.
The distance for the event is 5K. The course time limit is 1 hour and 15 minutes, which corresponds to a 25 minute per mile pace. For safety, no pets or wheeled conveyances of any kind are permitted on the course, and headphones are strongly discouraged.
Entry is listed as free for Atlanta Track Club members only. Members receive two guest passes that can be used for free entry for non-members to members-only Grand Prix events.
There is no on-site parking at Decatur High School. Event information notes availability of paid public parking decks including Courthouse Deck, Artisan Deck, and Decatur Court Garage, and advises using MARTA stations such as Decatur transit station or East Lake Station to access the venue. The club is not responsible for parking fees or citations.
Unofficial results are posted immediately online via the Race Day App and the event webpage; results are made official about two weeks after the event. The timing device is a MYLAPS ThinTag adhered to the back of the race number. Race numbers must be worn on the front of the torso, unaltered, pinned in all four corners, and not covered.
