Death by 5k Elijah Bristow SP
Death by 5k at Elijah Bristow State Park in Dexter, Oregon is a 24 hour running challenge organized by RunStrong Events. The format requires participants to complete ten separate 5 km efforts spaced every 2.5 hours, for a total distance of 50K. Participants must be present at the start of each 5 km and finish that 5 km before the next one begins. Night running is part of the challenge and some form of illumination such as a headlamp or hand light is required.
The event base is a group camping area that doubles as race headquarters. Participants may car camp or pitch tents between runs. Hot meals will be provided at several points during the event, and snack foods, water, and mixed Gatorade will be available throughout.
Entry is limited to 150 participants. After that a waitlist will be enabled and additional spots will open if they become available. Participants receive an event shirt and additional swag. Finishers receive a coffin style award.
