A Race for the Rest of Us - Eugene
Senior & Disability Services, a division of Lane Council of Governments, presents the sixth annual A Race for the Rest of Us to raise funds for the Senior Meals Program serving Lane County adults aged 60 and up. The event offers both an in-person and a virtual option so participants can take part locally or from another location.
- In-person 0.5k at Campbell Park, 155 High St, Eugene OR 97401
- Virtual 0.5k option available from any location
The course at Campbell Park uses flat concrete walking and bike paths. Every participant receives a T shirt, a finisher medal, and a race sticker. The preferred T shirt deadline is July 12; preferred sizes may not be available for registrations completed after that date.
A portion of each registration fee is donated to the Senior Meals Program, which provides meals and related services to older adults in Lane County. Published registration fees vary by age: ages 12 and under are listed at $20, ages 13 to 59 at $30, and those 60 and older receive a $5 discount.
Packets are available for pickup on Friday, July 31 at 859 Willamette St., Eugene, and are also available on race day. Shirts and bibs are printed per participant and registrations cannot be changed once paid. The event is described as wheelchair, power chair, and walker friendly and is also stroller and dog friendly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
