Walterville Waddle 5K
The Walterville Waddle is a community 5K run/walk held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Walterville Community Center location, 39259 Camp Creek Rd, Springfield, OR 97478. The course begins and ends in the field next to the community center.
The course route includes three distinct segments: the first mile follows paved residential streets; the second mile runs along dirt roads through local Walterville farms; the final mile is on a gravel road alongside the EWEB canal. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
Registration pricing notes: the base entry fee for the 5K run/walk is $25 for ages 19-59. Participants ages 10-18 and ages 60 and older receive a $5 discount. Children ages 0-9 register free. A race t-shirt may be added to registration for $23.39; the last day to order shirts is August 26. Day-of-race on-site registration is available the morning of the event with a $5 late fee.
Race bib pickup is provided on the day of the event at a table near the start/finish area. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners and to male and female winners in age-group categories. Age groups cover 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99 and 100+.
All event proceeds will be donated to the historic Walterville Community Center for maintenance and improvements. After the race, the Walterville Community Fair and the Parade take place at the community center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
