Deal's Orchard Spiked Apple 5k
The Deal's Orchard Spiked Apple 5k takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Deal's Orchard in Jefferson, Iowa. The event offers two distances and runs through the farm property and orchard with a cross country style course that includes some areas of uneven footing and two laps.

Deal's Orchard features flower fields, hayrides, apple treats, and a pumpkin patch. The orchard produces award winning sweet cider and offers more than ten flavors of hard cider made from apples hand picked on site. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online at J3 Timing.
Registration provides a soft ring spun cotton t shirt, a shatterproof collapsible glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a bottle opener, a chip timed race bib, online results, a homemade cider donut, and a pour of cider. Free finisher photos will be uploaded for download. Packet pickup is available on race day only and opens one hour before the event.
The race includes ten year age group awards with top three male and female finishers in each category: 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over. The local charity partner is Jefferson Matters. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; only service dogs are permitted.
