Whiterock Ultra - July 25, 2026
Whiterock Ultra is a trail ultramarathon held at Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids, Iowa on July 25, 2026. The event is organized around looped trail sections and offers two main race distances.
- 50 mile - three Red Loops, one White Loop, one Blue Loop (approximate)
- 50K - one Red Loop, one White Loop, one Blue Loop (approximate)
Loop details published by the organizer include a Red Loop of about 7.6 miles and a White Loop of about 11.6 miles. Course materials such as a race profile, map, and GPX files are provided for participants. The organizer publishes an athlete guide and information on cutoffs and aid stations; aid stations may have reduced support late in the day and the course can be altered for safety if conditions require it.
In periods of heavy rain the route may be moved onto gravel roads. When the gravel rain route is used a safety vest is required and weather-appropriate rain gear is recommended. The event also includes preview and training opportunities called Camp Whiterock, where runners can run sections or the entire course and camp at the River Campground (1314 Fig Ave, Coon Rapids, IA).
Awards are handcrafted from reclaimed barnwood and can be personalized if registration meets the organizer’s stated deadline.
