Whiterock Ultra : Coon Rapids, Iowa
The Whiterock Ultra is a trail ultramarathon held at Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids, Iowa. The event offers two race distances and uses a looped course system on the Conservancy trails. The Conservancy spans 5,500 acres along the Middle Raccoon River Valley and includes about 40 miles of trails.

Course and support: the 50K uses three named loops called RED, WHITE and BLUE. The 50 mile consists of two RED loops, two WHITE loops and one BLUE loop. The 50K course has approximately 3,000 feet of climb; the 50 mile course has approximately 5,000 feet of climb. There are two full aid stations that runners pass every 7 to 8 miles.
Logistics and policies: the start and finish are at the River Campground within Whiterock Conservancy. Registration closes July 21, 2026. No refunds or rollovers are allowed after June 25, 2026; bib transfers are allowed through July 11, 2026. In extreme weather, race officials may delay, shorten, change the route, or cancel the event; aid station support and awards may be affected. Entry fees are nonrefundable if the event is altered by weather.
Awards and purpose: custom awards are given to the top three male and female finishers for each distance and all finishers receive a unique award. Proceeds are donated to Whiterock Conservancy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
