DCHalf weekend overview
DCHalf is a two-day running event in Washington, DC featuring a 5K, a half marathon, and a combined District Challenge that includes both distances. Both race days share the same start, finish, and festival area at West Potomac Park (2912 Independence Ave SW).
Race weekend includes an expo and packet pickup at The 507 (507 8th St SE, Eastern Market). Limited street parking is available near the National Mall; there is no onsite parking. Two drop-off locations are provided near major monuments to ease arrival on race mornings.
Support and logistics on course include multiple aid stations with water at every station, electrolytes at selected stations, and gels at one station. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and at every aid station; ADA accessible restrooms are provided.
Rules for companions differ by distance: dogs and strollers are permitted in the 5K and in the festival area with leash and conduct requirements, while dogs and strollers are not allowed on the half marathon course except for approved service dogs. Bag drop uses clear bags from the packet; unclaimed bags are taken to the Pacers Running 14th Street store.
Pace teams are available for a wide range of target times. Each distance awards its own medal and age-group and overall prizes are distributed as digital gift cards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
