About the race
DC10 Track Fest is a track meet hosted by Light Horse Track Club at Catholic University in Washington, DC. The event features time-seeded heats for distance track races and includes both open/community fields and select heats for faster competitors.
Races offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Youth Mile (13 and under; free entry)
The meet uses seeded heats based on submitted seed times. Entrants must check in on arrival to receive their bib and hip number; failure to check in will result in being scratched. An official bag drop area will be available with adhesive tags provided on bibs. Pacers and volunteers are used for several race paces, and pacers and volunteers receive meet merchandise.
Facilities at the venue include indoor restrooms and locker rooms in the DeFour Athletic Center and additional port-a-johns near the track. Food and drink are available for purchase on site. Spectator entry is free.
Logistics notes: parking is available adjacent to the track via the DeFour Center and Hawaii Avenue with on-site signage, and the track is accessible from the Brookland-CUA metro station with about a 0.7 mile walk. Prize money for the 10K is listed as $300 for first, $150 for second, and $50 for third. The 2027 edition was in early planning stages and event details were subject to change.
