DC SAFE 5k & Half
The event is a pair of road races held in Georgetown, Washington DC, on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path. It takes place on October 11, 2026, and uses locations along the canal near the Potomac River.

Both races run on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path. The half marathon begins and ends near the Potomac Boat Club in Georgetown. The 5K begins and ends at Fletcher's Boat House. Walkers are welcome to participate.
The event includes in-person and virtual entry options. Virtual entries are available with different merchandise choices, including options with a medal and with a shirt. Registration fees vary by date and by entry type.
