DC Front Runners Pride Run 5K
The DC Front Runners Pride Run 5K is an annual event held at the beginning of LGBTQIA+ Pride month. This marks the 14th edition of the run and walk, which serves as a gathering for community members and allies from across the country. The event is designed as a welcoming space to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community through sport.
Participants have the option to choose between two event formats:
- 5K - In Person
- 5K - Virtual
The in-person race route starts and concludes at the Historic Congressional Cemetery. The course takes participants through scenic areas of Washington, D.C., including the Anacostia River trail and the fields located at the RFK campus. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual 5K option is available during the week leading up to the physical event.
Registration for the race is open to the public for a set fee. The virtual component begins in late May, while the in-person race takes place in early June. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
