Event Overview
The Dazzle Dash is a female-only running event held in Irving, Texas, at the Sam Houston Trail Park. This race celebrates the second anniversary of the Girls Who Run DFW organization and focuses on community and confidence. Participants are encouraged to wear sparkly attire, such as sequins or rhinestones, as they navigate the course.
Race Options
The event provides three distinct distances to accommodate different ages and preferences:
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- Little Dazzlers Dash (0.15 miles)
On-Site Amenities and Activities
The race environment features several interactive stations located at the park. Participants can visit a glitter station, a bib bedazzle station, and a temporary tattoo station. The event space also hosts local vendors, music, and designated photo opportunities. Every registered participant receives a race bib and a finisher medal, with the option to purchase a race-themed shirt during the registration process. The first 200 individuals to sign up are provided with a custom themed bib.
Awards and Recognition
Awards are presented on-site to the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 0-14 to 70+. Specialized awards are also given to the Overall Female, Overall Masters (40+), and Overall Grand Masters (60+). All participants must check their results and collect any earned awards at the venue, as items are not shipped after the event concludes.
