Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Waco
The Day of the Dead Half Marathon takes place at Indian Springs Park in Waco, Texas. The event offers multiple race distances and a mix of on-course surfaces, including paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Aid stations along the route provide water and assistance to participants, and standard race support personnel are available on course.
A pre-race costume contest is held in the starting area with judges awarding a Best Costume prize before the races begin. After finishing, participants are directed to a rally tent with live music and Mexican treats and drinks, where awards and announcements are made. Medals, tee shirts, trophies, and age group pins are distributed for designated events and categories.

- Kids Dash - 20 yards
- 1 Mile - 1 mile
- 5K - 3.11 miles
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- Volunteer then Run - 3.11 miles
- Virtual Run - 13.1 miles
Volunteer roles are available as full race volunteers or course monitors and aid station staff; full race volunteers receive a race shirt, souvenir medal subject to availability, VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card. Packet pickup is available in the period before the races. Registrations are nonrefundable, with options to transfer entries as described by the organizer.
