Day of the Dead Half Marathon - San Antonio
The event takes place on 10/04/2026 at Northeast Lakeview College in Universal City, Texas. It offers multiple race options that run on park and green belt courses that may include paved trails, crushed granite and dirt paths. Aid stations are placed along the course to provide water and assistance.
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash: about 20 yards for ages 10 and under.
- 1 Mile: not chip timed; includes tee shirt and race medal.
- 5K: 3.11 miles; chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards.
- Quarter Marathon: 6.55 miles; chip timed with overall Bigfoot trophies and awards.
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles; chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards.
- Virtual Run: 13.1 miles for remote participation.
- Volunteer then Run: volunteer option includes chip timed bib, tee, and finisher medal.
A costume contest is held prior to the race with judging based on creativity and authenticity; a Best Costume Award and prize package are presented. A post race rally tent hosts music, awards announcements, snacks and refreshments. Participants receive shirts, medals and event awards as described by the organizer. Shirt sizes are guaranteed up to ten days before the event, subject to availability.
