Day in the Park 5K - Laurel, MS
The Laurel Arts League organizes the Day in the Park 5K, a road race that runs through the historic district of downtown Laurel. The event includes a separate 1 Mile Fun Run and offers awards across multiple categories.

Registration is available online and there is also in-person registration at the start line (Mason Park/18th Street). Cash, check, and credit card are accepted for in-person registration. The first 150 participants to register will receive a custom race bib.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $35 for the 5K and $10 for the 1 Mile Fun Run; a $35 donation option is available to support children's arts in the community. Race shirts can be purchased until April 16, 2026, and a race t-shirt is guaranteed for 5K runners who register by that date. No additional shirts will be ordered. Fun Run participants do not receive a t-shirt with registration.
Awards are presented to overall male and female winners, masters and grand masters male and female, and 1st through 3rd place male and female in the following age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
