Davis Moonlight Run
The Davis Moonlight Run is an evening fitness event held in Davis, California. The race features multiple course options to accommodate various preferences:
- 10 Mile
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K
- 2K (approximately 1.25 miles)
The 10 Mile and 10K routes depart first, followed shortly by the 5K and 2K distances. Participants in the 10 Mile event are encouraged to wear light-colored or reflective clothing and use a headlamp or flashlight for visibility. Water stations along the course provide water and electrolyte replacement. A course support cut-off is enforced approximately two hours after the primary start.
Registered participants receive a "softstyle" cotton t-shirt, a finisher medal, a commemorative bib, and professional chip timing. Entry also includes post-race refreshments such as sno-cones and beer for those of legal age. Participants have the option to upgrade to a technical tank top or opt out of the t-shirt for a discount.
Awards are presented to the top three finishers per gender in each distance based on gun time. Age group awards are also provided across various categories ranging from under 9 to over 85. Special divisions are available for specific groups, including cancer survivors, residents of Davis, Woodland, or Sacramento, college students, and adaptive athletes.
The event is held rain or shine at 201 Cousteau Place. Parking is available in adjacent business parks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
