Davis Labor Day Run - A Change Of Pace
The Davis Labor Day Run is an in-person community running event produced by A Change of Pace, scheduled for Monday, September 7, 2026, at Central Park (corner of 3rd and C Streets) in Davis, California. The event offers multiple race distances and a virtual division.
Distances:
- 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- Kids 1/4 Mile Run
- Virtual Division
Registration is handled online with youth pricing available and entry fees that vary by date, distance, and age. Cash is accepted on race day only. Packet pick-up is located at Central Park on race day; participants are advised to allow time for bib and shirt collection. Parking is available throughout downtown Davis and hourly parking enforcement is generally not in effect on the holiday.
Entry benefits include a short-sleeved race t-shirt, finisher medal, eligibility for overall and age-group awards in timed distances, and post-race refreshments. The Kids Fun Run is not timed and does not receive awards. Overall awards for the 5K, 10K, and One Mile are given to the top three finishers per gender; age-group awards are determined by net (elapsed) time. Special divisions for the 5K and 10K include categories such as adaptive athlete, cancer survivor, student, educator, and local-county residents.
The event partners with Cancer Champions, a nonprofit that offers fitness, nutrition, and mindset programming for cancer survivors. Volunteer roles, a race voucher program, and sponsorship and vendor opportunities are part of the event structure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
