About the race
The California Brewers Festival takes place at Discovery Park on Sept. 12, 2026. Hosted by the Point West Rotary Club Foundation, the festival brings Northern California craft beverage producers, local vendors, and attendees together for a day of tasting and community fundraising.
Guests can sample a wide range of beverages, including craft beer, wine, cider, sake, seltzers, and kombucha. The event also features food trucks, the Local Wares Marketplace, games and activities in a Fun Zone, live art and entertainment, interactive experiences, the Beer Relay, and the California Brewers Cup.
The festival was founded in 1994, began in Old Sacramento, and later moved through several downtown locations before establishing a longtime home at Discovery Park. Attendance has grown in recent years, drawing thousands of visitors and a broad selection of brewers and vendors; VIP tickets have sold out in past years.
Proceeds from the festival support local programs and charities. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit local Sacramento children’s charities, and since its founding the festival has raised more than $1.95 million for local charitable causes.
