California Brewers Festival
The California Brewers Festival is an annual community event held each September at Discovery Park in Sacramento and presented by the Point West Rotary Club Foundation. The festival gathers breweries, beverage makers, food vendors, marketplace vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and community members for a day of tasting and entertainment.
The event showcases a wide range of craft beverages, including beer, wine, cider, sake, seltzers, and kombucha. Programming has included live entertainment, games, a Fun Zone, the Beer Relay, and the California Brewers Cup. The festival has operated in multiple downtown locations since its founding and later established Discovery Park as its longtime site.
Founded in 1994, the festival is organized to support local charitable programs. Proceeds from the event benefit community organizations, including Runnin’ for Rhett, and the festival reports having raised more than $1.95 million for local charities since its founding. The Point West Rotary Club Foundation manages the event and directs funds to programs that serve children and other community needs in the Sacramento region.
