35th Dave Reynolds Biathlon, two-person relay and Kid's Mini Biathlon
The event takes place on July 5, 2026 at Rehoboth Avenue and the Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, DE. It is produced by Seashore Strider Event Production and hosted by the Seashore Striders and the Rehoboth Beach Patrol. Proceeds benefit the Dave Reynolds Scholarship awarded annually to a Rehoboth Beach Patrol guard.
Distances and event types:
- 1/2 mile ocean swim plus 5k run for individual and relay divisions
- 100 yd ocean swim plus 1/4 mile beach run for the youth biathlon
- 2 mile Memory Walk on the boardwalk
The main biathlon course is a 1/2 mile ocean swim with the current followed by an out and back run to North Shores and back. Relay teams register per person; the first team member swims and the second team member runs. The event will use chip timing with the Chronotrack system.
Entry fees and notes from the organizer:
- Early bird individual fee $60 and relay fee $30 per person through June 21, 2026
- Pre registration individual fee $70 and relay fee $35 per person through the close of packet pickup on July 4
- Youth biathlon entry is free; no t shirts for youth but medals for all finishers
Parking is available near Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Avenue, and Wilmington Avenue. Awards include overall, masters, age group placings and top relay teams by division. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
