Event overview
The Dash of Doom Halloween Race is organized by Run Calgary and will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at North Glenmore Parking Lot O, North Glenmore Park Road, Calgary, AB, Canada. This is the 11th annual edition. The event is family-friendly and pet-friendly and includes a pre-race Halloween Festival with free face painting, games, crafts, photo backdrops, a DJ, and candy stations. Costumes for both people and pets are eligible for awards, and the best dog costume will win a prize package and be featured on the 2027 medal and shirt. The event supports the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS).

- 5 km walk/run
- 10 km run
The 5 km and 10 km races are chip timed. Kids in the Kids Race will receive a finisher medal. Participants in the 5 km and 10 km can optionally add a finisher medal during registration while quantities last.
Registration, fees and policies
Youth pricing is offered as a reduced flat rate for participants 18 and under: Youth 12 and under listed at $20 and Youth 13-18 listed at $30. A 5% GST tax will be charged in addition to listed entry fees. All registration fees are non-refundable except for participants who purchased the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program and whose claim is covered by that policy. Distance transfers and participant transfers are allowed; distance transfers can be completed online before Oct 12, 2026, and transfers on or after Oct 12 can be completed in person at package pick-up. Participant transfers can be completed online until Oct 23, 2026. Registration includes a long-sleeve technical shirt, pre-race festivities, candy aid stations, complimentary secure bag check, and opportunities to win costume prizes.
