Dash of Doom Halloween Race 2026
The Dash of Doom, organized by Run Calgary, takes place on October 24, 2026 at North Glenmore Parking Lot O, North Glenmore Park Road, Calgary, AB, Canada. This is the 11th annual edition and the event is described as family friendly and pet friendly.

A pre-race Halloween Festival will include free face painting, games, crafts, photo backdrops, a photo booth, a DJ and candy. Candy aid stations will be available on course. Costume awards will be given for best individual, best group and best pet costumes. The best dog costume will win a prize package and be featured on the 2027 medal and shirt.
Registration includes a long-sleeve technical shirt featuring the 2025 best dog costume winner, chip timing, complimentary secure bag check and opportunities to win costume prizes. An optional finisher medal is available for the 5 km and 10 km races; all Kids Race participants will receive a medal. The event raises funds for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society AARCS; since 2016 the event has raised over $82,000 for animal welfare.
All entry fees are non-refundable except for participants who purchased the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection and whose unforeseen circumstance is covered by that policy. The insurance does not cover entry fees if the event is cancelled. Distance and participant transfers are allowed; some transfers must be completed before October 12, 2026 and participant transfers can be completed online until October 23, 2026.
