2026 Dash of Doom Halloween Race
The Dash of Doom Halloween Race is an annual event organized by Run Calgary, occurring at North Glenmore Park. This 11th annual edition is designed as a family-friendly and pet-friendly traditional Halloween celebration. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and pets are welcome to participate in dress as well.
The event offers several distances to accommodate different participants:
- Kids Race
- 5 km walk/run
- 10 km run
Before the races begin, a Halloween Festival is held on-site featuring free face painting, games, crafts, and photo backdrops. The courses are chip-timed and include candy aid stations. Awards are presented for the best human, group, and pet costumes.
The event supports animal welfare through fundraising for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS). In an effort to promote sustainability, finisher medals are optional for the 5 km and 10 km distances and can be added during registration, while all participants in the Kids Race receive a medal.
