Dash of Doom Halloween Race
This Halloween race is organized by Run Calgary. It will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at North Glenmore Parking Lot O in Calgary, Alberta. It is the 11th annual edition of the event.
Three race distances are offered:
- Kids Race
- 5 km walk/run
- 10 km run
The event is described as family-friendly and pet-friendly. Participants are encouraged to wear creative costumes, for themselves and their dogs. Awards are given for best human, group, and pet costumes.
Before the races, a pre-race Halloween festival includes activities like free face painting, games, and photo backdrops. All participants receive a long-sleeve technical shirt. A complimentary secure bag check is provided. The races are chip-timed.
The event supports the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS). Over the past ten years, it has raised over $82,000 for animal welfare.
Reduced flat-rate pricing is available for all youth aged 18 and under. A finisher medal is automatically included for Kids Race participants. For the 5 km and 10 km events, a finisher medal is an optional add-on to reduce waste. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
