Dash of Doom Halloween Race : Calgary, October 24, 2026
Run Calgary organizes the 11th Annual Dash of Doom Halloween Race at North Glenmore Parking Lot O, North Glenmore Park Road, Calgary. The event includes multiple race distances and an afternoon of pre-race festivities.
Distances offered:
- Kids Race
- 5 km walk/run
- 10 km run
Pre-race activities include free face painting, games, crafts, photo backdrops, a DJ and candy aid stations. All participants receive a long-sleeve technical shirt featuring the 2025 best dog costume winner. Kids Race participants receive a finisher medal. For the 5 km and 10 km races, a finisher medal is optional and can be added during registration while quantities last.
The event raises funds for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS). Over the last ten years the event has raised more than CA$82,000 for animal welfare. The current fundraising total shown is CA$868.04 with a goal of CA$15,000.
Pricing and policies: a reduced flat rate applies to youth 18 and under. Youth 12 and under rate is CA$20 (CA$24.68 with fees, GST not included) and youth 13 to 18 rate is CA$30 (CA$35.45 with fees, GST not included). All entry fees are non-refundable except for those covered by the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program. Distance and participant transfers are allowed; distance transfers online should be completed before October 12, and participant transfers can be completed online until October 23.
