Dash for the Dogs 14th Annual 5K Run/Walk
Dash for the Dogs 14th Annual 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for May 16, 2027 in Barrington, Illinois at 511 Lake Zurich Road, Jewel Tea Pavilion. The event raises funds for the dogs and cats under the care of Animal House Shelter, a 501C3 no kill shelter founded in June 2002. One hundred percent of proceeds go to the shelter and donations are tax deductible.
The event program includes these options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 mile Family Fun Walk
The 5K is certified and timed by J3 Timing. Dogs may participate in the run or walk when they are up to date on vaccinations and are calm and social with other animals and people. The first two dogs to cross the finish line receive prizes. The 1 mile Family Fun Walk follows the 5K.
Animal House Shelter rescues animals from high kill facilities and from owner relinquishment, and provides rehabilitation and adopter matching. Organizers offer an option to create personal fundraising pages to support the shelter and its animals.
Registration information and fees are listed by the organizer for each distance, with separate amounts for the 5K and the family walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
