About the Event
The Dash Around Kampeska is a half marathon event that takes place in Watertown, South Dakota. The scenic course loops around Lake Kampeska, passing through Jackson Park and Memorial Park, and finishes on the waterfront boardwalk at Stokes-Thomas City Park. A two-person half marathon relay option is also offered.
The event is part of a larger weekend that includes a separate Buffalo Wild Wings 5K race on the evening prior. The 5K is described as an untimed, family-friendly run or walk starting at the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. Participants who enter both the 5K and the half marathon receive a discounted 5K entry and a special pin.
A portion of the event's proceeds benefits the local Watertown D.A.S.H. program, which supports youth in making healthy lifestyle choices.
