Dash and Dine 5K at Elmcrest Park
The Dash and Dine 5K is a community running event held at Elmcrest Park in Ramsey, MN, paired with a daytime festival called Kites and Bites cohosted with the Ramsey Lions Club. The festival program includes kites, yard games, mini-golf, food trucks, free kite decorating, and other family-oriented activities.
The race is run on a USATF certified 5K course that winds through scenic trails, open fields, and local neighborhoods and features slight rolling hills. All runners receive a $10 meal voucher valid at the event food trucks. Awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers and to the top male and female in each age group: 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Registration follows a tiered fee structure: early registration is $45 (Feb 16 - Mar 8) and includes a race shirt; mid registration is $50 (Mar 9 - Apr 26) and includes a race shirt; later registration is $50 (Apr 27 - May 29) and may not include a shirt; same-day registration is $55 and may not include a shirt. The Ramsey Community Foundation is the event nonprofit partner; runners may opt to fundraise for or donate to the foundation, but fundraising or donation is not required for participation.
