Dart Challenge - November 20, 2026, Green Table Cafe at Dartington Hall
The Dart Challenge is a six hour trail event held at Green Table Cafe, Dartington Hall. Competitors complete as many 5 km laps as they wish within the six hour time limit. The event includes a canicross option for running with dogs. Entry requires participants to be at least 17 years old on the day.
Event details
The 5 km lap is mixed terrain: gravel, grass, some tarmac and occasionally mud. The course is described as mostly flat with one notable hill per lap. The cafe at the venue hosts registration and offers undercover space, indoor seating and a wood burning stove.
The event provides professional RFID chip timing, a fully marked and marshalled course, water and feed stations, first aid cover and public liability insurance. All finishers receive a medal, a free hot drink or half a beer and free event photos. Participants get a custom race number and lap split times.
There is ample parking but it is paid and monitored by cameras; a parking concession is being arranged for the event. Trail shoes are strongly recommended. The event also raises funds for a new playground at Dartington Hall.
