Dan's Derby and Walk
Dan's Derby and Walk is the second annual community event taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Gavin Park in Saratoga Springs, New York. The event combines a gravity car derby with a memorial walk and community activities.
Participants build a car and race it on the event's official derby track. Car kits are available for purchase during registration. Derby registration includes entry for the optional walk.
The memorial walk covers 1.25 miles around Gavin Park and is presented in remembrance of lives lost to a substance use disorder. The route is described as family friendly and stroller friendly. Organizers will display memorial photos along the walk route to honor those who have died.
Additional on site activities include food, games, a silent auction, and a community resource fair. Funds raised from the event will benefit the Prevention Council of Saratoga County, including Healing Springs Recovery Center. Dogs are not allowed on site.
