Dambusters at Silent Valley Mountain Park : 8 August 2026
Dambusters is a multi-distance running event held at Silent Valley Mountain Park in Annalong, Co. Down, within the Mourne area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The venue includes mountain panoramas, a reservoir built in the early 1900s, and the Mourne wall.
Distances offered include:
- 10 Mile race (age 17 plus)
- 10K race (age 15 plus)
- 5K race (including a junior 5K for ages 11 plus)
- 10K walk
Entry is by online registration only; all race packs are posted to participants and will be sent out before the event. There is an early bird pricing window with specific rates for each distance and a registration platform processing fee. Postal option charges apply for delivery to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.
Race services include a finisher medal, individual chip timing for runners (walkers are not chipped), a race number, and a finish line hydration station. Water stations are provided on course: two for the 10 Mile route and one for the 10K. Toilet facilities and port-a-loos are available; there are no shower facilities. Parking at the venue is managed by NI Water and is subject to local charges. Pets are not permitted and the course is not suitable for buggies.
