Dam 09 Triathlon : Alamo Heights, San Antonio
The Dam 09 Triathlon takes place on August 15, 2026 at Alamo Heights Swimming Pool, 250 Viesca, San Antonio, TX 78209. The event is USAT sanctioned and athletes are seeded by estimated swim time.
Race format includes the following distances:
- 400 m pool swim
- 9 mile bike
- 4 km run
The swim is held in the Alamo Heights 50 meter pool. The bike course follows three loops through the shaded streets of Alamo Heights and crosses the Olmos Park Dam. The run is an out-and-back course. The event is non-drafting and clip-on aero bars are permitted.
Participants must have a bike in good working condition; required checks include working brakes and secure handlebar and seat post fittings. A bicycle helmet with chin strap is mandatory and skate helmets are not allowed. E-bikes are not permitted. All athletes must hold a current USAT membership or purchase a one day pass during registration. SafeSport policies for youth participation apply.
Awards include overall male and female, overall masters, age group awards across standard age categories through 85+, relay awards, finisher medals for everyone and gender specific technical shirts. Packet pick-up is scheduled at Crossroad Bikes, 14602 Huebner Rd., San Antonio on August 13 and at a location on August 14; race day packet pick-up is available for a fee.
