The Dalwood Fayre 2026
The Dalwood Fayre returns for its fourth year, offering trail running routes through the Blackdown Hills. Based at the Dalwood Village Hall in East Devon, the event features two distinct distances:
- 10 km
- 3 km
The 10 km course is open to participants aged 16 and over. It is a physical route that includes hills and potential mud. The 3 km course is open to all ages and follows trails along the river and through open fields, featuring the "zig zags" section and a short stretch of quiet country lane. Both routes involve natural terrain such as river crossings, roots, and stones.
The event center at Dalwood Village Hall provides facilities including toilets and a risk-based bag drop area. Refreshments such as tea, coffee, and homemade cakes are available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting local charities. Instead of a finishers medal, all participants receive a small gift and a treat at the finish line.
Participants may register in advance or on the day of the event at the village hall. Parking is available near the village with guidance from marshals. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
