The Dalwood Fayre 2026
The Dalwood Fayre is a trail running event organised by Ruby Red Running on 19 July 2026 in Dalwood, Axminster (Event Centre: Dalwood Village Hall, EX13 7EQ). Routes run through the Blackdown Hills and use local trails and fields.
Distances:
- 10 km (ish) hilly trail course; age 16 or over.
- 3 km (ish) shorter trail route; suitable for any age.
The courses include open fields, a short section of quiet country lane, a distinctive "zig zags" section, river crossings, and varied underfoot conditions such as mud, roots and stones. The 10 km route is hillier and follows a previous years' course. The 3 km route runs quickly onto riverside trails and returns via fields from Ham Road. The course is marked for navigation and marshals will be present at road crossings.
Practical details: registration and bib collection take place at the village hall. Toilets are available and bags may be left at the hall at the owner's risk. Parking is managed by marshals and depends on ground and weather conditions; car sharing is encouraged to reduce local disruption. Entry on the day is available and entries close 15 July 2026.
At the finish, refreshments including tea, coffee and homemade cakes are available for purchase with proceeds to local charities. There is no finishers medal; a small finishers gift is provided.
