Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot
The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is a longstanding Thanksgiving Day running event held by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. It has been presented for over 55 years and is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026. Registration opens June 1.
Participants can choose between these distances:
- 5K run/walk
- 8-mile race
All proceeds from the event go directly to the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to support programs and initiatives that aim to build strong, healthy, and connected communities. Texas Health Resources is the presenting sponsor and provides related resources, including a free "Train to Trot" program. The event also notes a special bonus for dogs: the first 750 dogs to cross the 5K finish line receive a medal.
