Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot
The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving Day event organized by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. For over 55 years the Turkey Trot has been presented as a community tradition; the event date for 2026 is Thursday, November 26, 2026.
The event offers two race distances:
- 5K run/walk
- 8 mile race
All proceeds from the Turkey Trot go to the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to support local programs and community initiatives. The event program includes live music, food, and family activities, and participants sometimes wear Thanksgiving themed costumes.
