Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving event and a local tradition for more than 55 years. The event offers both a community run and family activities in association with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas.

Distances offered:

5K run/walk for families and individuals
8 mile race for more experienced runners

All proceeds from the Turkey Trot go directly to the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to support its programs and community initiatives. The event program includes live music, food, and family-oriented activities. Participants are encouraged to wear Thanksgiving-themed costumes.

A presenting sponsor for the event is Texas Health Resources, which provides a related Train to Trot program. The first 750 dogs to cross the 5K finish line receive a medal.
