2026 Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot
The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running and walking event organized by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas at Dallas City Hall, 1500 Marilla Street, Dallas, TX. The event offers both timed and untimed options, a virtual option, youth and tots categories, and a special Diaper Dash for crawling babies.
Distances and special races include:
- 8 mile run/walk
- 5K run/walk
- Virtual 8 mile or 5K
- Diaper Dash (crawling race)
- Tots/Toddlers/Strollers (newborn to age 6)
Timed participants use an exclusive Timed Participant Corral; only those in the timed corral may enter that area before the timed start. For safety, dogs and strollers are not allowed inside the timed corral. Untimed participants may start in separate start windows and are asked to position walkers toward the back for better flow.
Additional event features include The Roost hospitality area with covered and uncovered seating, pre-race breakfast items, beverages, post-race snacks, and semi-private restrooms; a premium pass option adds alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and over. A Team Challenge in the timed 5K allows teams of at least four, with the top four times used for scoring. A costume contest offers family memberships and airline tickets as prizes.
