Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is an annual Thanksgiving Day running event presented by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. It has been held for over 55 years and includes two race options:

5K run/walk
8-mile race

All event proceeds go to the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to support local programs and community initiatives. The event program includes live music, food, and family-oriented activities, and participants often dress in Thanksgiving-themed costumes.

Texas Health Resources is the presenting sponsor and offers a free "Train to Trot" program associated with the event. Registration opens June 1. The race day is Thursday, November 26, 2026.
