Event
DalesRunner 20 is scheduled for 28 March 2026 in Reeth, North Yorkshire, with the event base at Low Fremington Village Hall. Entry places are limited to 200 runners. Entry fees are shown as £24 (UKA/affiliated) and £26 (non-affiliated). The organiser provides downloadable GPX and PDF route files. The event includes post-race hot and cold drinks and cakes for finishers. An age restriction applies.
Course and logistics
The route is a marked, mostly single-track trail on the northern Dales with testing ascents, ridge running and technical descents through mining hushes. Surfaces include grassy trods, hard-packed footpaths and sections with loose rocks. The organiser recommends trail or fell shoes with good grip. Course waymarking will use orange barrier tape, orange pin flags and coloured arrow signs; marshals will staff critical turns and road crossings. Aid stations will supply water, Active Root, sweet and savoury food, electrolyte drink tablets and offer vegan and gluten-free options. Plastic cups are not used at aid stations, so runners must carry a soft flask, bladder or collapsible cup. Mandatory kit will be checked and missing items may lead to disqualification; mandatory items listed include taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, emergency blanket or bivvy bag, a drinking vessel and a fully charged mobile phone. Parking is in a field just outside Reeth and may be muddy. Portable toilets and village hall toilets will be available near registration.
