Event details

Cymoedd Sir Fynwy is a weekend mountain walking and running event organised by LDWA - South Wales on 18-19 April 2026. The event base is The Girl Guide Hall, Fairfield Car Park, Abergavenny NP7 5TR. A free car park is available at Byfield Lane Car Park, Tudor Street, Abergavenny. Entries are managed through the SiEntries system and require registration.

Course and entries

Routes explore the Black Mountains and the World Heritage Site of the Forgotten Landscape above Blaenavon. The event includes sections of the cancelled Y 100 Sir Fynwy and parts of the Valleys 100 route. Course highlights named in the event information include Deri, Loxidge Tump and Skirrid via Cwmyoy, Llanthony and Pandy, plus Coity Mountain and a finish along the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal. A new 20-mile route option is offered.

Entries open on 1 October 2025 and close on 31 March 2026. Entry numbers listed are 116 participants so far. Entry limits per event are: 50 miles - 125 entrants; 30 miles - 50 entrants; 20 miles - 75 entrants. Entry fees are: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
