Event overview

Cymoedd Sir Fynwy is a multi-distance walking and running event organised by LDWA - South Wales on 18–19 April 2026. The route explores the Black Mountains and the World Heritage area of the Forgotten Landscape above Blaenavon. The course passes Cwmyoy, Llanthony and Pandy, and includes sections on Coity Mountain and along the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal. The route also goes over notable hills such as Deri, Loxidge Tump and Skirrid. Each distance has a specific time limit.

Entries open on 1 October 2025 and close on 31 March 2026. Entry limits are: 125 for the 50-mile event, 50 for the 30-mile event, and 75 for the 20-mile event. The event lists 194 participants so far. Entry fees vary by distance and LDWA membership status.

The event base is The Girl Guide Hall, Fairfield Car Park, Abergavenny NP7 5TR. A free car park is available at Byfield Lane Car Park, Tudor Street, Abergavenny.
