Curo'r Coblyn, Pwllheli - 5KM & 5M
Curo'r Coblyn is a community running event taking place on Sunday 29 November 2026 in Pwllheli, organised by Hwyl Yr Wyl and StrongHer Dwyfor as part of the Hwyl Yr Wyl festival weekend. The event offers two distances:
- 5KM
- 5 Miles
Both routes are described as fast and flat and start and finish at West End Parade, Pwllheli. Runners will pass coastal and harbour views across Cardigan Bay toward Eryri and, on the return, views across the Llŷn Peninsula toward St Tudwal’s Islands.
Event services include a fully marked and marshalled course, trained first aid provision, a race headquarters and an event village. There is a water station around the halfway point on both courses. Every finisher receives a unique Curo’r Coblyn medal. Finishers aged 18 and over are offered free mulled wine at the event village, and all finishers are offered a mince pie and a festive treat. Parking and toilets are available nearby.
There is a prize for every runner who beats the Coblyn in each race; the Coblyn’s identity remains a mystery until it is revealed at the event village after the finish. Junior runners up to 12 years old are advised to contact Cei’r Gogledd junior parkrun for information about the separate junior event.
