CURO'R COBLYN, PWLLHELI 5KM and 5 Mile
CURO'R COBLYN is a community running event taking place on 29 November 2026 in Pwllheli, organised by Hwyl Yr Wyl and StrongHer Dwyfor. The event offers two distances:
- 5KM
- 5 Mile
Both routes are described as fast and flat. The start and finish are at West End Parade, with outward views across Cardigan Bay towards Eryri and Pwllheli harbour and coastline. On the return runners pass views over the Llŷn Peninsula and towards St Tudwal’s Islands before finishing at West End Parade.
Event provisions include a fully marked and marshalled course, trained first aid medics, race headquarters and an event village. There is a water station around the halfway point on both routes, a unique Curo’r Coblyn finisher medal, a mince pie for each finisher and free mulled wine for finishers aged 18 and over. Parking and toilets are available nearby.
The event features a novelty element: a mystery "Coblyn" competitor whose identity will be revealed at the event village; there is a prize for every runner who beats the Coblyn in each race. Entry age limits are specified for each distance and entry fees are non-refundable except where the organiser states otherwise. Junior runners up to 12 years old are referred to Cei’r Gogledd junior parkrun for junior event information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
