Curfew Run
The Curfew Run is an annual running event held in Berwick-upon-Tweed, scheduled for July 9, 2025. Established in 1996, the race challenges participants aged 13 and over to complete a circuit around the historic Elizabethan Walls within 13 minutes, the time it takes for the Curfew Bells to toll. The event follows the Curfew Fun Run, a family-friendly 1.28-mile race designed for children 12 and under, families, and adult fun runners.
Both races feature the traditional bell ringing by the Berwick Bell Ringers, adding a unique historic atmosphere. The event is organized by Tweed Striders and attracts up to 150 runners for the main race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
