Cupid's Chase 5K Charleston
Cupid's Chase in Charleston takes place on February 13, 2027 at James Island County, 871 Riverland Drive. The local event is part of a national race series that marks the founding of Community Options and raises funds to support housing and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This is the 19th annual edition of the race.
The event features a certified 5K (3.1 miles) with professional timing; results will be posted immediately after the race. Registration for the local 5K opens June 9, 2026 and a registration fee of $40.00 is listed. To guarantee a Cupid's Chase shirt, participants are asked to register by January 1, 2027; after that date shirts are available while supplies last. Giveaways include a finisher medal and a drawstring bag while supplies last. All registration fees are non-refundable.
Participants of many types are noted as welcome, including runners, walkers, families with strollers, wheelchair participants, and sponsors. The event is pet friendly; all pets must remain leashed. Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers in these groups: 12 & under; 13–15; 16–19; 20–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; and 70 & over.
